Effective July 31, 2026
Recco helps people share real recommendations with friends. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect account details like phone number, email, username, friendly name, bio, profile photo, category interests, posts, ratings, reviews, comments, likes, saves, follows, uploaded photos, and support messages.
If you choose to use them, Recco may process synced contacts, connected social profile details, and connected email receipt data. Receipt scanning is used to create private recommendation drafts until you decide to post.
We collect basic usage events, pages viewed, searches, clicks, session identifiers, device information, logs, and error data so we can improve Recco, debug issues, prevent abuse, and understand what features people use.
We use data to run login, show feeds, find friends, generate Weekly Reccos, reduce duplicate products, create receipt drafts, send notifications, improve ranking/search, protect the service, and measure product quality.
Recco may show product links, retailers, offers, prices, and deals. These can change quickly, so you should confirm price, availability, shipping, and terms on the retailer site before buying.
Public profile and recommendation content can be seen by other Recco users and may be shared through app share tools. We do not sell your synced contacts or connected email receipt contents.
We keep account data while your account is active. We may keep limited logs, security records, backups, analytics, and legal records for a reasonable period after deletion where required for safety, fraud prevention, or compliance.
You can delete your account from profile settings. Deletion removes your profile, posts, saves, likes, comments, follows, connected accounts, receipt drafts, synced contacts, devices, and sessions, then anonymizes the durable account record needed to preserve product catalog integrity.
You can edit your profile, disconnect optional integrations, stop syncing contacts, choose what to post, log out, and delete your account. For privacy requests, email support@reccoapp.com.
Recco is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
We use practical safeguards such as OTP login, environment-based secrets, encrypted tokens for connected accounts where configured, access controls, logging, and deployment/database security controls.
We may update this policy as Recco grows. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and use reasonable in-app or email notice when appropriate.
